I need Daddy

I am amazed with you, yet again. You can clearly distinguish the diff between 'I need' and 'I want'.

For instance, when you want to take a kiddy ride, he will look at us, stretch out your hand and say, 'I need money'. This is obviously a need, not a want for you.

When we study economics, we are often told, a 'need' is different from a 'want'. We can do without a 'want', but a 'need' is a neccesity. It is not dispensable. For you, taking a kiddy ride is a need, not a want. This is probably true for all kids.

When we are at work, there are times that you will ask for us. He will ask, 'Where mommy? Where's mommy?'. About a week ago you said something that left me speechless for hours. This came after I spent much time with you over the weekend. This is what you said,

'I need daddy'

It made me feel good but I didn't know why. As I gave more thought to it, I realise I am no longer a want in your life. I have become so close to you that I became a need in your life. A necessity. Indispensable. Essential. Imperative. I am not a peripheral figure in your. I am not like redundant worker in a company. A fringe actor. A football player surplus to requirement and has to be sold.

Why God wants us to worship Him

Why God loves to be worshipped? Daddy is clueless. Mommy does not know either.

Yesterday I sent you to childcare centre. You are now 2 1/2 years old. You could speak a few words. Sometimes you could utter complete sentences too.

As we were walking towards the car, with your little fingers holding mine, I told you repeatedly, 'I love you Phi Phi, I love you Phi Phi.' You mumbled something but I couldn't really decipher what you said. I decided to lower myself to your height and asked you,
"Did you say, 'I love you Daddy'?"
You did not look into my eyes. You were a little shy and sheepish and turned your face away from me.

We continued our walk towards the car, holding each other's hand, telling each other 'I love you

'Why God loves to be worshipped? When we worship God, we are simply telling Him we love Him. What will be His likely response what we tell Him we love Him?

He loves it when we love Him.
He loves to be loved.

Pledge / Vows of Love

Kiss

We have this routine. Everyday before you leave for grandma's place, I will kiss you goodbye. A little kisss kisss on your cute chubby cheek. You surprised me with your response both yesterday and today. After I planted my kiss on your rossy cheek, you kissed me on both my right and left cheek and finished off with a grand finale. A kiss on my lips. You did it yesterday. You did it today. Will you do it again trow?

The first time Phileo was crying for me

I was taking care of you. I walked away, just a short distance, to get some snack. When I was busy snacking and still keeping my eyes on you, I saw something that I will never forget. You started looking for me and in no time you were crying for me. This has never happened before. In fact that you cried when you could not find me meant a lot to me. It showed how important I am to you. I was needed by you. Most kids cry when cannot find their parents. When you did what most kids do, my heart was filled with love for you.

When we have a close relationship with God, we will cry like you when we cannot find God. Wonder what is God's response when He hears us crying for Him? His heart will be filled with love for us
