Pledge / Vows of Love

I got this idea from a book. Here's daddy's pledge of love to you.

You are conceived in love. Birthed with love. I pledge to nurture you by love.

I can almost see it now. You will be a fine man of great compassion - Caring for the poor, loving full time ministers, and a man after God's tender heart

Phileo, I will love you forever. Nothing can separate my love from you.

Kiss

We have this routine. Everyday before you leave for grandma's place, I will kiss you goodbye. A little kisss kisss on your cute chubby cheek. You surprised me with your response both yesterday and today. After I planted my kiss on your rossy cheek, you kissed me on both my right and left cheek and finished off with a grand finale. A kiss on my lips. You did it yesterday. You did it today. Will you do it again trow?

The first time Phileo was crying for me

I was taking care of you. I walked away, just a short distance, to get some snack. When I was busy snacking and still keeping my eyes on you, I saw something that I will never forget. You started looking for me and in no time you were crying for me. This has never happened before. In fact that you cried when you could not find me meant a lot to me. It showed how important I am to you. I was needed by you. Most kids cry when cannot find their parents. When you did what most kids do, my heart was filled with love for you.

When we have a close relationship with God, we will cry like you when we cannot find God. Wonder what is God's response when He hears us crying for Him? His heart will be filled with love for us

Subject: Sponsorship of Netbook / Desktop

Hi Bro Charles

As spoken, we would like to sponsor S$1,500 for the purchase of 3 netbooks / desktop computers. This will hopefully help some PLP students in their assignments. It will be good if the computers can be stationed at Atcem office, Toa Payoh or regional offices. We are fine with any arrangement the church deemed fit.

If possible, can you designate the donor as ‘Josh & Phi’, the names of our 2 children. As parents, we would like our children to have the welfare of God’s servants in their heart always. This is a tangible way we thought we could teach them.

Thank you for facilitating

I wanted to spend some time with you

Was it last Sunday, I wanted to spend time with you. I wanted to just play with you. You passed me a DVD instead. You wanted to watch the DVD program instead though I wanted to spend time with you.

Many times in our relationship with God it is the same. God desires to spend time with us, He is all ready. But we miss out on the opportunity to be close to Him when we have our own agenda. There was a little boy in the Bible called Samuel. When God called, he answered immediately. Not once, not twice, but three times. Phi Phi, when God calls you for a time out to fellowship with Him, don't miss that, because this is your chance to experience His presence

I took a walk with you

Last Sunday was the first time we went for a walk together. The experience, was simply magical. There were 3 small birds welcoming us as we bagan our walk. The birds were very small, with colorful feather and beautiful voice. As we continued to walk, a rooster crowed. I have been this place before but I have never seen a rooster. God has made it very special for us. One by one the dog came and say hello to you. I have not seen so many dogs before this walk. Most of them are kept in the house. This time they are out greeting you. I can see that God really loves you. God made it special for you because He knows how much you love dogs

I started learning to walk with God quite late. I learned about walking with God from Hakan, my good Swedish friend. He used to ask me to go for walk in the woods with him. So I went and we would walked for hours. Talked as we walked. There was no moment of silence. We just talked and talked. It was never me alone talking but both of us are talking and listening.

This year I have decided to take regular walk with God. I will go to the woods. Walk by the water. One author suggested a moonlight walk. That I will do soon. Phi Phi, learn to walk with God early in your life. Then you will learn what it means, 'Enoch walked with God' (Genesis 5:24). Walk with God and walk close to God.

Living near each other

By now you probably have known I like it when you cling onto me. You are getting heavier though. I wonder how long will I be able to carry you in my arms like a shepherd carrying a little lamb. One day, you will be too heavy for me. You will soon grow up. The day will come when you will leave home. I don't look forward to that. I like you being close to me. It is common for parents in the west to bump their kids out of the house once they reach certain age. I don't like to do that. In fact, I will be very sad if in future we are living very far away from each other. You always want to be close to someone you love.

Can daddy and mummy make a request? If you can, don't live more than 15 minutes drive from us. If possible, within walking distance of 10 minutes and less
